If you don't like the spelling of the name, you don't really like the name completely. I beg that if you name your child this name, do not spell is wrong. People will just think that his parents are stupid for spelling his name wrong.

The name has Russian origins, I believe. The orginial spelling is how a person will tend to write the name. Imagine being a child who has to always correct someone as to the pronunciation or spelling of a name. I see this so much as a teacher. It may seem wonderful at first to give your child an original spelling to a commonly pronounced name or an original sounding name but it grows very old when you must carry that name for your life. Please consider this very carefully. Children do love special names but there are many things that can make a name special: a story, a family member who bore that name, a special meeting place, the meaning, or just the love that mom and dad had when they chose that name. Those things can hold special meaning without the added burden of an unusual spelling. Andre' is a wonderful, strong, masculine name which I think means "ruler" and would be a wonderful choice for your son. Any names that are difficult to spell or say, however, are likely to become like socks at the end of the day: you can wait to get them changed.

Andre is the classical spelling. If you try to change the spelling it will look stupid. Also it will look like a typo, and people will always spell his name wrong. If you don't like the classical spelling I suggest you find a different name. I like the name Andre, though. It reminds me of Andre Agassi ♥
Good luck and God bless

I can only think of Ondray which isn't as nice as Andre`
I think you will have a hard time finding a spelling that doesn't look really strange.
I think Andre` is a great name for a little boy (I'm assuming??)

Andre is bad, and any other spelling would be worse. Just my opinion.
