What did the patriots do that is cuaseing all this talk? Supposedly happend 5 days ago. What did they do to bring up the prospect of loseing there titles???

Nothing that pretty much all the other teams haven't done. Problem is they got caught doing it and they're a dynasty so everyone is jealous of them.

Using any sort of recording device to monitor the other team is against NFL rules. The Patriots had a cameraman who was found on the Jet's sideline so they confiscated the camera. When they looked through the video they saw that he was recording hand signals.
These hand signals gave the Patriots an unfair advantage because they knew what play the Jet's would be running before the snap.
Because of what they did they lost one of their first round draft picks for next season and also the team and coach were fined.

They were using a camera to record the opposing team's signals, then watching the plays afterwards to find out what the signals meant. By learning what the opponent is going to do, you can more easily counter them and defeat them. This is cheating - or, more exactly, a form of cheating that isn't permitted by league rules. Yes, they've been doing it for some time, not just with the Jets; and they're probably not the only team doing that.

They sent a scouting crew to video tape the jets game along with taping the coaches hand signals so they could figure out the signals and know what the Jets were going to run... every play

The Patriots attempted to take advantage of the incompetence of the Jets. The league rules say a smart team cannot take advantage of the stupidity of a lesser team that is incapable of disguising or shielding their defensive signals.
The playing field must be level, dopey teams must be given as good a chance to win as clever teams.

All the teams do what the Pats did but the Pats got caught. Seeing the Pats are the number one team for a good many years they have to be knocked down to make room for another team. Amazing what jealousy can do.
