x becomes -2.

(-2+2)[2(-2) - 3] = 0*-7 = 0

Just plug in -2 wherever the "x" occurs in f(x).

So (-2+2) (2 multiplied by -2 minus 3)

Since -2 + 2 = 0, it doesn't matter what you get when you plug in -2 into 2x-3. Whatever that is multiplied by zero will be zero. So the answer is (a).

Hope that helped!
