Your speed may vary according to how far your home is from their equipment, but if you're only getting HALF of what you're paying for, I'd either complain to the company and see what they can do about it, or find a different internet provider. In fact, if you do complain to the company, make sure they know you will try another provider if they can't do any better for you.

You can't, Check and make sure that you are paying for the faster speed, Many offer different speeds and of course are different prices.
