I would choose taste- there are a lot of odors I could do without!

I would choose taste. I enjoy my food too much to do without it. I would have a dog do my smelling for me. When I changed my daughter's diapers I thankfully lost my sense of smell for awhile due to sinus trouble.

I would choose taste also, but if we can't smell, then the taste wouldn't be the same as it is when we can smell. That is why food doesn't taste as good when you have a cold as they do when you are well.

Smell - I can live with out smelling. I would hate to be blind and never see anything the world has to offer. I love music, i would not want to lose my hearing. Taste is the only reason i eat! but I could live without it if i had to. Touch is essential, as is hearing and seeing. Losing smell would have some effect, but not as much as losing other senses.

I agree with you. I love to eat and if I couldnt taste the food I wouldnt enjoy it. I could do without odors like pet odors and cigarette smoke.

The allergies have all but finished off my taste buds
and sense of smell. We need both but will go with
taste. Or smell? I am soooo confused. I guess smell
even though skunks stink.

Definately taste. Pretty much though my nose is clogged all the time and I hardly smell and I hardly smell anything when I'm well, so losing it wouldn't be much.
