what are some good "getting to know you" questions?

Favourite colour, food, movies, music. What they like to do on weekends, have they ever had a job and did they enjoy it. If you are school age, ask what classes they like, what they want to do in college (if they even want to go) things like that. If you are older ask what classes they enjoyed in school if any, and then see if you have any in common, after that you can build on common interests!
