Stores like Lowes & Home depot actually have dusters
made specially for ceiling fans. Most have an adaptor
for high ceilings. Not expensive at all.

There is something that you can buy that is designed to clean the blades of a ceiling fan. It has a long handle so you can reach them.

You have to borrow a step ladder and climb up with a small shifter spanner ,undo small bolts bring blades down and wash them with household detergent, then replace them when dry..

Well
you could opt for a trampoline
Or -- one of those extendable pole devices that has all kinds of attachments for the end of it !!
Or -- you could do the standard -- ladder and duster routine (Be Very Careful)

They make brushes just for that purpose, I bought mine at wal mart and it was not expensive at all, it slides over the blade and then you push it back and forth and voila! it's done.
