I married a Spanish-speaking gentleman from the Carribean. That was years ago, and I still don't get it all right.
You really need classes where you can actually interact with the professor or teacher and ask questions. There's not only the words (my vocabulary is quite large) it's the various tenses and manner of putting the words in their proper placement in a sentence. Academy Spanish is proper, but in general, Spanish people don't SPEAK like that. In order to be able to speak it correctly and write it correctly, you should try to get a native Spanish-speaking person to teach you. (A professional.) I could help you, but that would be the blind leading the blind, here.

i really wish i could but i'm re-learning it again haha i took it 3 years in high school and i was soo EFFING GOOD haha not to sound weird or anything but...yeah, i'm starting to get it back just talking with one of my co-workers :)
