I think it's important to have a degree. It's not that you can't be successful without one, but more doors are open to you if you do.
I think you'll regret it years down the road if you do this. Almost everyone I've met who dropped out of college wishes they hadn't, and most try to go back. It's even harder to do so when you've got someone else (like a wife) whose finances are intertwined with yours, and even harder still if you have children.
If you're unhappy with your course of study, it may just be because you haven't decided what field you want to pursue. That can make everything seem pointless, and then it's hard to stay motivated. Think about the job you have right now, or the full-time job you're thinking of getting. If it's a career field you enjoy, there have to be things you could be studying that would increase your value to the company you work for in the future.
All in all, someone with some kind of certification or education beyond highshool is going to be more valuable to any organization, and your income potential is going to be greater if you have some kind of post-secondary education.
Don't do what seems easiest. Please think long-term. You won't regret it, I promise.

stay in school . cmon you'll make much more money and be happier in the long run im sure. I work in a kitchen at nursing home to save up money for college and i work with middle aged people who wished they went or stayed in college. all of them regret not going to school. My supervisor is in her30's and shes planning on going back to school, she'll earn so much more money which will help her life and make her much more happier, probably even less stressed out. if u have at least a associates degree i guess that would be alright but i think u should continue and get a bachelors.

Do you have any clue at all -- how many people in the world would literally give up a limb to be in the position that YOU are in -- in college with the opportunity to continue through to a diploma that will dang near insure your exceptence into the world of business almost any where you go (?)
Do you understand for a second that the thing you are opting for here -- has all the chances that can be of turning out in a manner that makes you simply "one of the masses" ??
Buckle in and hang tough here -- it is a simple ride of only a couple of extra years -- and in comparision to one's lifetime -- that is absolutely NOTHING for the benefits that it brings in return !! If I could tell you of the hundreds of people that I have run into within my life that have told me that they quit college to do just what you're talking about here -- and thought that they would get back someday before too long down the road to finish ---- and ---- never did ---you would simply not be talking of this craziness !!

Its completely up to what you want. Staying school could help in the long run, getting a degree and uping your pay. But with how you'd going about, saving up before dropping out, is the way to go, if your going to. You'll survive lol, and could lead a perfectly happy life.

"With a college degree, doors open and opportunities increase exponentially. And, of course, earning power goes through the roof. U.S. Census Bureau statistics suggest the average worker with a bachelor's degree will earn — appropriately enough — nearly $1 million more in his or her career than someone with only a high school diploma."
A MILLION DOLLARS MAN!! $60,000 may seem like a lot now, but if you invest that into your education you will get a LOT more in return

I think you should take all of your prerequisites classes to get them out of the way. If you don't know what you want to do with your education know, you could take those classes so when you do figure it out you will at least have those out of your way and go right onto perusing your degree. I know from experience that once you drop out of school it is hard to go back. Make sure it is really what you want to do before you do it. Good Luck.

in my opinion i think you should stay in school...you can get a chance to get a real good job. You can earn money. After that im guessing you would live happier than dropping out of school. School is very important, but if you really want to drop i say go ahead whatever you think will make your life the happiest.

You are making a bad decision.
Your plan *MIGHT* work, or maybe you'll go bankrupt and have to start over. No creditor can take your education away from you.
Study after study says that people with more education make more money. Period.
Yes, there are exceptions, but they are astonishingly rare.

Depends on what you're going to do for a career. Many people drop out of college and work. When they are established and comfortable in their careers, they resume their college schooling and graduate. Lotsaluck.
