Your mom is right. I wouldn't worry about an irregular period because most of our periods have been irregular at one point in our lives. I've had mine now for 15 years and it is still irregular. As far as the weight issue, I don't think that your weight has anything to do with your period. Not trying to be mean but you are about 30 pounds underweight for your age Being that much under weight is just as un-healhty for you as being obese is.

First periods are irregular, not everyone have same thing tho. Mine were very regular since the day i got them. My best-friends' were irregular the first year. For like a year she got them only 5-6 times. No worries;)

It can take almost a year for your cycle to regulate itself, if it ever does. Alot of women stay irregular.
Weight, stress, exercising, hormone imbalance can cause your period to delay. If you go without one between 6 months and a year it is time to see the doctor.

well, maybe its because ur under weight, because im 14 too and the doctor told me that your periods regulate when you reach the right weight.....but...your first few periods or maybe even for a year may be irregular....don't worry, ask a doctor!

i don't think you have to worry about that. i've had my period for about three years and it's still irregular. At one point, i was worried about it also, so i asked my doctor and she said that it's common for periods to be irregular for up to five years since you first got it.

It's spossed to be irregular. Unless youre on the pill. That calls for somwhat drastic measures.

It takes some time in order for your cycle to become regular.
