I got a rebate check today for my internet equipment; however, since the phone service is in my mother's name the check was sent to her.
Usually I deposit my checks in my bank account. Is it possible for me to deposit the check in my account if she signs it?

Yes, if your mother endorses the check, you will be able to deposit the check in your account.

Yes of course. I previously was employed at a bank as a teller . Have your mother sign the check and then you sign right under her name. Then deposit it like normal. Its basically like she is signing the check over to you.

Have her sign the check then sign the check over to you by writing "pay to the order of ____" and then sign the check. Your bank should let you deposit it into your account.

If your Mom signs the check, and gives it to you, then once you have also signed it, you can deposit it in your account. My Mom and I have done this many times.

Once she signs the check, you can do ANYTHING you want with it. I do recommend the restrictive endorsement 2 other answers suggested. "Pay to the order of ___________" allows you and only you to cash/deposit the check. If she simply signs the check, anyone can cash it.

just give the check to her and ask her to write you a check - wait until she deposits the check before depositing hers to you

Have your mother go into your financial institution with you. Make sure she has her ID just in-case they ask. Have her PRINT on the back "Pay to the order of ____(your name)___, and then sign. You sign underneath her signature. There should be no problems.
