I have a 1987 honda cr250, and my coolent is leaking down into the casing, and mixing with the oil. Do you know what could be causing this? Or where it is coming from. Also if you know anywhere that has a free diagaram of the cooling system.

THANKS!!!

gdwrnch is correct.
At the bottom of the side cover (underneath) is a tiny hole (weep hole).
If coolant is coming out of that hole, it's an early warning sign that the water pump seal is going bad.

Does the coolant circulate using an impeller driver off the gearbox? If so it might be leaking through the impeller shaft gasket. That's the only way coolant can leak into the gearbox.

The waterpump seal to the crankcase is bad.Should be similar to No.22 in this diagram.
