ok so I am switching to tampons and I am trying to decide which one I should buy... my one friend said tampax pearl was better but then my other friend said playtex sport was better. I am a very active person and I run a lot and play volleyball. So I dont know which one.. since I've never tried either before... so i am wondering which on is better lol... or does anyone else have more suggestions

The companies, including pads, are constantly giving away samples. While I normally find them via freebies boards, I just did searches for "playtex sport samples" and "tampax pearl samples". I've gotten enough samples that I don't have to worry about buying for awhile. It also helps that I'm naturally irregular and that I've been pregnant for the past nine months.
Personally, I think preferences in tampons are personal. I prefer Playtex Sport, but will take Tampax if available. (I just signed up for the samples again.)
Also, if you go to the Start Sampling main page ( www.startsampling.com ), you can find links for samples of Kotex pads and Tampax cardboard.

I personally like Tampax Pearl better than Playtex Sport. They are easier to use and I like their applicator better than the sports. I have never had an accident before with Tampax Pearl. In my opinion Tampax Pearls are the best tampons out there...and I've tried most brands over the years....they are the only brand I buy now.
They aren't very expensive ($4 a box).....just buy a box of both and decide for yourself. Good Luck!!

KOTEX tampons are the best and I have tried every kind. Tampax seem to fill up (or absorb) on only one side and then leak when half of the tampon is still white, plus they are a little rough to put in (kinda like dragging on the way in) and Playtex seem to not absorb as much on the same absorbency as the other brands.

playtex sport all the way. i'm not into sports that much but they're super comfy and hold a lot. lol def. get those.
you could buy both if you wanted to see which one's you like. i did that til i found the playtex sports.

I would recommend Tampax Pearl. That is what I use and I haven't had any problems with them. Of course, since you are just now switching to tampons, you will need to check out different kinds. Go to beinggirl.com for free samples.

Or you can just buy the trial/sample size in most stores.
Ob is fat and easily discreet. Something to consider.
Don't know what you switched from.
Instead is a cup you place inside you for up to 8 hours. Its a purple box. No absorbtion, lower rate of toxic shock syndrome from tampons.
