Who here thinks the Beatles sucked and where the most overrated band ever?
Personally, I hate them. I don't agree with what Mark Chapman did to Lennon, but I also think Lennon was poisoning the world with his lifestyle, and was already walking dead from all of the drugs. I also think not only did they have horrible singing voices, but could not play, and thier words in some songs where retarded.

This is perfect. People who love the Beatles follow basic directions a 2cd grader could follow. I ask "Who here thinks the Beatles sucked and where the most overrated band ever?" NOT, "Who here disagrees with me? Shows you how much the music has on intelligence, and who follows it like a moth and does their own thing without following instructions. No wonder we are losing our jobs and progress to other countries, especially ASIAN countries. SNICKER!

OOPS, my bad, in the previous paragraph I meant PEOPLE DON'T follow basic directions! Wow, I think I listened to too much Led Zepplin in my day!

THEY, didn't do anything but smoke pot and take hallucinogens and piece together non sensical carnival music with lyrics like "I am the Walrus, I am the Sandman, COO COO CA CHOO!" The MEDIA and the ERA, mostly MEDIA did it for them by pushing this crap down a bunch of stoned out hippies, confused adolescence to make a buck off of them. Look at Ed Sullivan, their manager; the record companies propaganda advertisements, etc. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of bands out there that have not talent, but my point is,THE BEATLES WHERE THE WORST!They DID NOTHING, but spread the want for more drugs, creating drug lords, poisoning our children drugs with ideas about non-ethical practices, pacifism, liberalism, laziness about working hard for a living, and free love with anyone and everyone. FILTH! One of them paid for it, the other one paid for it dearly. TWO DOWN, TWO TO GO! Only problem is is that every time one of them dies, we are plagued with tributes/ younger fans trying to fit in!

I like the Beatles and I'm 19. My dad played their music all the time when I was little. I didn't start to really like them until a few years back. Their songs make me feel good, and that's what music's about, right? Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I mean I hate it when people try and PROVE that a band's no good, or the best. How can you prove something that is based on opinion? You don't like them, then that's cool. To each their own.

if the beatles suck, y is there a Cirque Du Soleil after them, why does Paul sell out venues all the time, y were there 1000's of tribute bands around the world, y are there commericals with their music,y are there songs still on the raido, y if you say John, Paul, George and Ringo do people know who they are, y are there roads and parks named after them, why was there a Broadway show after them? if they sucked so much y was the british invasion so popular and why did the other bristish band come over? The Beatles are the best and always will be!

I don't agree with you. But everybody does not have to like everything. Did the Beatles have some songs that were clunkers? Yes, but the body of their work and the evolutionary effect they had on music cannot be underrated.

As much as I have a dislike for the Beatles, I would have to disagree with you on this bud. The Beatles paved the way for todays music.

I agree with the previous answers (except its so easy, who sounds a little nutzo). The Beatles elevated pop music and showed that it can be a complex, subtle, inventive and experimental music form. They were incredible.

they were not that bad. Yeah some of their stuff was bad like Sgt Pepper's. Also what band/group from that era didn't do drugs??? Elvis, Johnny Cash, the Big Bopper all did drugs.

Okay then, I respect your opinion, but don't necessarily agree with it. My question to you is, who do you consider a great musician then if The Beatles are just "stoner low-lifes?"

and what's wrong with drugs! if you use them carefully you have fun, if you are weak and got addicted, it's the best way to get rid of weak people in an ethical way, unlike the spartian way. i think drugs should be leagal. and by the way, lennon did make statments against drugs.

I think this question is retarded. They were a unique, different, talented band. Look at their lists of songs. I love many of them and many are classics.
