Their own arena for events, etc. The Orleans is great about honoring special room requests(at check in), I always ask for a room on an upper floor(16-19) with a strip view(room # 02-44 even #'s) 02 is at the end of the hall, 44 is near the elevators - in the middle is best. These rooms have an awesome panoramic view of the strip hotels.

I think I just answered your last question.... I say do Vegas!!! My last trip there included my 2 14 year old cousins who loved it. The onlyyyy reason I'd say don't take a 16 yr old along is if everyone else is over 21 and bound and determined to do everything to exclude the 16 yr old.

Walking along and exploring the strip is always fun - no matter how many times you've been inside these hotels, they're still pretty cool. There is a roller coaster inside New York, NY that goes through the casino, outside and back in. There are also a couple coasts on top of the stratosphere. Most of the hotels have phenomenal pools-Ceasars Palace is amazing.... You've got the wax museaum, you've got magic shows, dance shows, comedy shows, plays, etc.... I suggest buying before hand on ebay or going there and purchasing from the 1/2 ticket place, unless the show you want is sold out then hunt those tickets in advance.

Where else can you go to see a Pyramid and Sphinx, the Eiffel Tower, a talking Ceasar, drop off the side of a building roller coaster, the grand canyon, the hoover damn, NY, Venice, dancing water, volcanos on the street and soooo much more!!!!

yeah ! why not? there are lots of things for older teens to do in vegas. There is a lot more to vegas than just gambling and drinking. There are great shows, good food and a lot of other things. If you are going with her i dont see a problem with it, besides, that would be an awesome gift, she would have a lot of fun, going somewhere like that.

Things to do, maybe take her to a show, there might even be some musicians in town the time that you are taking her. When i went to vegas when i was 18, i went bungy jumping! that was so much fun. Theres a lot to do also right outside of town, like mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing theres a lot

I hope you guys have a great time. ! And dont listen to anyone that tell you taking a teenager there is a bad idea, i dont understand why people say that, its not like your going to get a hooker for her! I mean gosh people chill out!

Good luck!

In general: NO. Wait another 5 years. Las Vegas is meant for ADULTS.
Sure, there's things for kids to do, but they can't do the things that are truly Vegas: no clubs, no casinos, heck, not even many of the shows.

IMO: go somewhere else. My vote would be a beach somewhere - either South Florida, Mexico, or the Carribean. =)

Although there are things for children to do.
This is SIN CITY, and no, I personally would not take a kid to Vegas.
If you do tho, stay at the circus circus, best place for adults with under age kids.
Go to M&M world and Gameworks.

Don't go to Vegas.... as a young adult myself, my parents have suggested going to Las Vegas before and I have told them no, because there is nothing I can do there. I think some place like California or Florida would be pretty awesome and a good compromise!

I'd have to agree with the above reply. I just celebrated my sweet sixteen with a bunch of my friends and family, and I wouldn't want to go to Las Vegas considering I'd have to miss school, and it doesn't seem like a great teen-friendly place. A trip would be great, just somewhere else.

:-)

It's a good idea...depending on where you take her. when i went with my friend for her birthday we had a blast.
Take her to:

-the hotels(even if you're not staying at them, they all have amazing qualities.
-dune bugging(you're in a go-kart type car and you go riding all through the hills and desert about 30 minutes out of Las Vegas)
-see the shows(Cirque du Solie:dreams is amazing and its PG)

Doesn't sound like much fun for a 16 yo. Don't know where U live but how about a New York shopping spree.
