can somebody tell me when was the very first time the chevy camaro built , because i heard someone saying that was in 1964 is that true ????

The camaro first production run started on sept 26 1966 as a 1967 model.This info came from chevy camaro fact sheet.

The first production Camaro was in 67. There might have been an earlier prototype.

Maybe the concept car was built in 64, but I havent ever seen anything that says this.

Production started in 66 for 67 model year.
