Usually it fits and just cover the space of one x1 PCIe or a PCI slot. In a few cases, there is some slight interference with the Southbridge heatsink. Slight modding of heatsink typically takes care of that problem.

Your next concern is the power supply. 8800GTS draws up to 9 amps on the +12V rail. Power supply with at least 25 amps on the +12V rail (or rails) should run cool and stable all day long.

properly your computing gadget seems high-quality in spite of the fact that if it perchance the amd athlon 3000+ processor that can bottleneck gaming so a cpu improve might help, additionally getting a sparkling skill grant might e counseled because of the fact the 8800gts is noticeably skill hungry yet perchance the cable muddle might make it a touch complicated in spite of the fact that if it fairly is going to mostlikely nonetheless in high-quality condition into your computing gadget. P.S. my 2 cents in case you have the money and wanna choose for the lengthy run the 640MB version provides you with extra skill.
