My periods are still pretty irregular, but I usually get them within a month and a half of each other. They're usually heavy I guess because there's a long time between them? But anyway this month it's unusually heavy. Today's the second day and I've had to change my tampon like once every hour / hour and a half. Is this normal??

I have had heavy flows all my life and the doctors say its very normal. Just the way it is for some girls. You can also wear a pad on very heavy days. I know they are not really pleasant to wear but it will help prevent embarassing situations then its worth it. If you are young and havent had a gyno exam yet now might be a good time to make an appt.

Maybe you should use a heavier tampon, but if the whole irregular thing bothers u, id talk 2 a doctor, or maybe go on the pill 2 regulate u, hope it helps!

Almost anything is normal when it comes to periods, it's when what is normal for you starts to that makes it abnormal. My advice is to go on the pill, you have lighter periods and you can control when you get them. I prefer the same dose pill, monophasic over the 3 different doses in a pack, triphasic. And on the pill you know exactly when you'll get your period and if it's a bad week for it you just go to the next pack and keep taking them so there isn't an interruption and you won't get your period.

No. First of all you know what is normal for you. Secondly having to change a pad or tampon once an hour sounds like hemoragging. At minimum it needs quick investigating from your gyn. Good luck.
