They are loafers looking for a handout from hard working folks!

We are a world of victims, and we are taught that we are being suppressed. Those that work hard go to school and make a decent living are the ones who are preventing us from achieving our goals.

Those that advocate Socialism, disguise that fact. They talk about how it is everyone has the right to health care, it is everyones right to be taken care of. That those that have should share. regardless of how hard they worked for it. What yours is mine and whats mine is mine.

Government should not be your Nanny, you need to stand up and walk on your own feet. Government is inefficient at helping everybody, lets let those that excel at it do it and let government do the Job they they are best at. like creating laws to keep us safe.

Oh and by the way, their has never been a communistic government, so how can people die from it. Cuba, Russia and China were all socialist regimes, and many people died from these government actions.

Communism was the idea socialism was based on, but never truly achieved. The idea of communism is that the government decides everything, who works where, how and why. All moneys earned are put into a general pot and then distributed according to need.

in communism, you would not have people sitting around on their asses not working and collecting money. Because the government would not allow it. If you were able to work you would have to work. in whatever position they deemed. No choices, only what is the best fit for the community.

So Communism never happened and Never will.

While I have never seen anyone suffer and die from Socialism we all saw a lot of people suffer and die in New Orleans during and right after Katrine from a lack of it.

That kind of total abandonment of the people to their fate would never have happened in the socialist democratic countries of Europe.

You are confusing socialism as it exists in many European countries with totalitarian communism, otherwise your question makes no sense.

While it is true that in our country more people have the opportunity to become rich and well to do that is not a guarantee that they will. Many fall by the wayside. There aren't as many millionaires in Europe per capita but you won't see such large differences between the well to do and the less well to do.

Another difference is that they don't have as much silly litigation as we do. It is much harder to sue there.

I don't ,however, think that a lot of people here in the U.S. want socialism of the European or any other kind. It is our historical tradition to be ¨every man for himself¨ .The vast majority of immigrants come here to make money, not to construct a society geared to caring for its weaker members(the old,the infirm, the sick, the young, the poor).
I would answer you that you are wrong if you think that Americans want this kind of society any time soon.

Get rich quick schemes in the capitalist business world, (buyouts, IPOs, conglomerates, acquisitions, mergers, and the stock market), do not actually work. Remaining solvent does not actually exist within false economics capitalism.

Profit existing in the capitalist business world, or millionaires existing within capitalism, is pathological deception committed by the 21 organizations spying on the population with plain clothes agents, (with covert fake names and fake backgrounds).

Actual economics is the persons paying the monthly business loan payments of companies voting at work in order to control the property they are paying for.

Capitalism is the psychology of imaginary parents, false economics, and the criminal deception of employees that are paying the bills (including the stocks and bonds, or shares) of companies.

Anti-democracy republicanism is the psychology of imaginary parents and false government.

Wow...the number of uneducated baffles me alone on Yahoo answers....Suffering and Dying....oh..lets see...who could that be....NAZI Germany ? for one ? How about Italy under Mousullini's rein ? Lets talk about how some states and cities have been hunting down illegal's in America because they are breaking the economy, medical and social services system. I imagine there are plenty of citizens of America suffering because they can't get their kid in the hospital, or funds to help their family.
As for the question in itself, I think its because of there being different kinds of people. Some want to go out, explore, be independant, and free. Others, seem to want the Government to make all their decisions for them, clean up their messes, save them from things that happen bad. I've always personally figured I'd be able to get more done than the Government, because where has the Government ever delivered exactly to the level someone wanted compensation at ?
I don't understand why people want to work till November just to pay taxes then turn around and let the Government dole out their money indiscriminately and wastefully just because they are too afraid to make their own decisions.

Where are you getting your information? Americans are not for socializing anything! The closest we are going to come to Socializing anything is Medicaid & Medicare in their current form! There are many who don't even like those programs; they feel it is a handout to those who should have to pay, even if they cannot afford to do so. There are some problems with our health care programs in this country but, we are not going to go to that length to remedy our problems. Another way will be found to help those in need.

We have all kinds of socialism in the US. The road system is socialized, the air travel system is socialized (governments own most commercial airports). The military is socialized. Schools are socialized. Police and fire departments are socialized.

I don't see why socialism is automatically a bad thing.

Well people died because of communism but you are right that many have suffered in numerous ways under socialist regimes. Why do many Americans still embrace it? It is because like most liberals they believe it can work because they are smarter than all the people who tried and failed before them. They do not learn from mistakes.

yeah... I know... look at all the current genocides in western Europe right now... it's horrible... hahaha...

most that have "suffered" have been under communism, which is fundamentally different than what we're talking about when we talk about socialism/social programs...

millions suffered and died under capitalism in the industrial revolution... that doesn't mean our current form of capitalism in the U.S. will lead to murders though...

you're exaggerating history and twisting it for your own purposes... not sure if you're doing it on purpose or it's just all you know though?

Americans' apathy has shown its true colors. Is perfect for them to receive government checks and healthcare from the government. They don't have to worry about anything, that is what they like. Americans believe they are entitled to government benefits, they think they're entitled to everything!
