Reece, Reese or Rhys ( i like Rhys) - Rhys. It just looks so much more -- what's the word? -- valid, that way. I really fine the "ee" forms a bit insubstantial. Just lacking a bit, know what I mean? Like it's really not necessary to spell it out phonetically, when Rhys is the traditional spelling, if that makes sense. Also, while Reese is currently being used for girls, and even Reece is found on the feminine side on occasion, I have never, EVER seen a girl with the original Rhys spelling, so it just strikes me as that much more obviously-masculine. ;)
Erik or Eric ( i like Erik) - Eric. The K ending has always seemed unnecessarily harsh to me.
Michael, Micael, or Mikhail ( i like Michael) - Michael. Micael just looks like a typo, and Mikhail is not pronounced MIE-kul.
Lucas or Lukas ( i like Lukas) - Lucas. Ditto the Eric/Erik comments. In this case, however, I can understand wanting to use Lukas to reflect your heritage. On the other hand, if you're NOT German or something, it seems even more odd to use the K form.
Adriana or Adrianna ( i like Adriana) - Adriana. There are certain cultures that would say the -ana and -anna identically, but speaking in general terms, this would be ahd-ree-AH-na vs. ayd-ree-ANN-a (at least in the states), and I strongly prefer Adriana.
Lindsey or Lindsay ( i like Lindsey) - Lindsay. But I don't mind Lindsey. Just as I prefer Findlay or the fully Anglicized Finley, but can understand how someone might opt for Findley.
Britney or Brittany ( i like Britney) - Brittany, hands down. Unless, of course, the child truly is being named after the tabloid-fodder celeb -- which I seriously hope is not the case -- I see no reason to use the Britney misspelling. Just completely lacking any class, know what I mean?

My name is Reese and it's very special to me (my late grandmother's maiden name). I believe Reese is a beautiful name for a girl or boy. For a boy, I prefer Rhys. For a girl...well, of course I like Reese.
I like either spelling of Eric/Erik and Lucas/Lukas.
Michael is such a common name that it's strange to see it spelled differently. I know in other parts of the world the name Michael is spelled different ways. I guess I just like it the way I'm used to seeing it.
I like Adriana just because I prefer the Adri-AH-na pronunciation.
I prefer Lindsey over Lindsay. I don't like the "a"...I know that may be strange, just a personal preference.
Personally (if I had to choose) I would choose Brittany over Britney. The -ney spelling is so strongly attached to the celebrity, which for some people, may be a good thing...for me, not so much (I would avoid the name entirely).

Hmm...For some reason I don't like the K's in those names, and Britney reminds me of Ms. Spears. I like Adriana with one "n" because there seems to be a balance in the spelling that way.

I am a traditionalist and strongly believe that if you give your child a name with a "unique" spelling, they will have to "explain" their name to everyone for the rest of their lives and have everyone including teachers and friends spell it wrong. I like Reese, Eric, Michael, Lucas, Adrianna, Lindsay, and Brittany. Good luck and God bless!

1. Depends how you want it pronounced. Reese is said like Reese's peanut butter cups but Rhys is pronounced Rise.
2. Eric. I don't really like traditional names with unusual spelling so they're "not boring." Seems pointless to me, it's still the same name and I don't think it's really any more interesting. It just means they'll go their whole life with people spelling their name wrong. (trust me, I know.)
3. Michael. Same thing.
4. Lucas
5. Adriana
6. Lindsey
7. Brittany it think. Close one though.
