There was a rumor the falcons were picking up signals on the vikings and would change plays based on what they picked up from the viking cordtrs.. any truth to this?

1998 was a year to remember for the franchise. With a spectacular offense led by quarterback Randall Cunningham, who had his best NFL season ever, running back Robert Smith, veteran wide receiver Cris Carter, and explosive rookie Randy Moss, the Vikings set an NFL record by scoring a total of 556 points, never scoring fewer than 24 in a game. The Vikings finished the season 15-1, their only loss by 3 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week nine. In the playoffs, the Vikings rolled past the Arizona Cardinals 41-21, and came into the Metrodome heavily favored for their NFC title showdown with the Atlanta Falcons, who had finished 14-2. However, kicker Gary Anderson, who had gone 35 for 35 in the regular season, missed a 38 yard (35 m) attempt with less than 2 minutes remaining. That allowed the Falcons to tie the game

Congrats on your win against Atlanta. But, I wouldn't get too confident. The Falcons are going to be the worse team in the NFL this year because of the Vick scandal. If you guys can get past the Pack and Bears, then you might make it.

certain teams are blessed, others are not. yeah, vikings had their shot in 98, but they screwed up. the next year, they made it to the nfc championship and was shut out in NY, by what? 41-0? that was it for minnesota. they just dont have the blessings. another team similar are the philadelphia eagles. i blame their fans more than the organization for their failures cause they just dont support their team and give the players the confidence they need. to me, the vikings are the vikings. just another team for the packers and bears to pick on every year ; )
