you need a moisture meter, maybe get one on line
this will determine how much moisture you have below the surface ,
a lot of water can damage the boards, sheet rock behind the walls,

or you could remove just one tile, and look your self

When the floor gets more squeaks in it or when you get in and your foot goes through the floor then you have enough rot. Try buying the material a little at a time or put it on lay away. put money in an envelope and write bathroom money on it and save up what you can when you can, start out $20.00 a week and hide it some where, This is an interest free program that you don't have to pay penalties on.

I don't know but i am guessing tiled wall's if they are loose you will have to replace them and put new green board up it's like water proof sheet rock. then glue new tile back and buy some tile grout and fill in and wipe excess off with damp sponge.you can do it yourself. check out a book on the job at your local library. save yourself hundreds, just a little confidence needed! good luck.

Not unless you can get to it from the other side easier. Or if it is above the basement and you can see somewhat what's there. Otherwise, take the tile off and start over with new wood.
