First he let fireman die in WTC because of defected radios which they were complaining for 8 years to have replaced and then he doesn't give first responders respiratory equipment?
I am just continuing my research on all candidates and would like to know how many sick and how many have past since this costly mistake taken by Giuliani.

Leaders should be held responsible, he ignored the faulty radio and said that firemen who died stayed on their free will and courage which was not true. He sure likes to put a spin on things...

too many to count... all sorts of people have been reporting acid reflux and other med problems bc of Giuliani's lies.... It's ridiculous and people still actually plan to vote for him? He proved himself to be nothing but incompetent... I hope he withdraws from the race for the benefit of this whole entire country...

With respect to the defective radios, that is a decision that would not normally be made by the Mayor.
Replacing defective radios is a decision that woild be made by the chief of the department.
With respect to respiratory equipment, that would also be a decision made by the chief. That is not an issue that would go to the Mayor.
You are talking about issues that are not comtrolled by the Mayor.

"First he let fireman die in WTC...."
Wow, you should really research a bit harder. People choose to be firefighters. They went into that situation knowing exactly what the consequences might be. You're belittling the people who gave up their lives.
Not to mention NYC is a pretty big place. All those murders and rapists. Not to mention schools that need more funding. Your sooooo right it would have been a MUCH smarter investment to pay for top of the line radios.... grr

Union leader talking points. The last I heard, the rank and file actually feel differently about the subject.

He let them die as in he took an active interest to insure they died? Your spin could be said about almost anybody after a catastrophe.

Its like safety in the coal mines, its ignored until to late. No excuses, leaders are supposed to lead and build trust, give the tools required to do the job. If they don't they are to blame!

It is difficult to say, since it is not reported in most news channels where people usually get information from.

I have no idea, but do you think it is right to place the blame solely on one person? I don't know that much about Giuliani but it just seems it's so easy to affix blame anymore. We had never been hit like that before, so why would anyone have all the answers? Thanks

Giullani was going by the information he got from some gal who said everything is fine. This lady worked for the pollution control agency or something like that.
