You've just asked the $60,000 question.
Answer is: there is no God in the first place.
That's why Christianity is so full of contradictions, just to keep it afloat.

Jesus was the human manifestation of God. He was the son of God, or the ambassador to Humanity from God. Here is a big question. Several of the Apostles died in horrendous ways (the Cross, flaying, boiling, etc..) Why would they die for a lie?

Because Jesus is God in human form (Flesh), when God told Job that he would die if he saw him he ( God ) was saying that you could not see him in his full Glory

I figure that God is so bright and powerful, like the sun or electricity, or strong loving feelings, so if you went to the sun and saw so much power at once, or touch a live wire, it would burn you up.
I guess Jesus was one who had a large amount of God's power taking human form, carefully measured so as not to burn us or shock us with overwhelming power.

That's right. No man has seen God the Father. Man was able see God the Son. I don't see what your hang-up is about it. It's clearly explained. It's obvious that that he was here. No imaginary characters could impact the history of mankind the way Jesus did.

God has created the Universe, God is running the Universe. God will destroy the Universe. God is the Origin of Universe. God is the Destination of Universe. Spirit can neither be created nor be destroyed. It moves from one body to another. Your body dies, not spirit. Your spirit gets new body after death, based upon your actions in this life. Your target is to make your spirit pure, so that it can merge in Super Spirit (God). Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow.

What is confusing you is the "holy trinity" where God would be all three manifestations at once. Jesus is the son of God. A carnal form if you will. God in the flesh. What was described to Job was what would happen if mortals were to look upon God in his spiritual/energy/ etc. form.

That question was addressed in the council of Nicocea in the 3rd century. I will cast my lot with a Homoousion who says that Jesus was not god but of the same or similar substance with respect to its share of the Trinity. Ah the dogma of the Trinity. Somehow I find this question comforting.

It takes hubris to think you would be able to see God.
