Which do you choose? And I want an explanation (not just honest, but true backup) of why you think one is better than the other. Or at least just put, I like it better! I'm curious to how far this topic will reach. I'll start bellow!

I personally like star trek, just because it makes more since. it seems to be.....possible. Plus, i like the story line much better!

I have always liked Star Trek much better than Star Wars. Star Trek portrays a more realistic vision of the future. Many of the episodes go into detail of how the technology on the ships work or why an event happens.
I do like Star Wars, don't get me wrong. But I prefer stories about exploration of the unknown and the excitement that goes with the adventure.
On another note, I'm not a big fan of movies or shows that have so much digital effects that it looks unreal. Star Wars went overboard with effects. They are imaginative, but nothing compares with filming miniature models and pyrotechnics.

Hands down Star Trek is better. The Original Star Trek.
It got us out of the 'hum-drum' of the cowboy movies and Roddenberry raised our eyes to the stars. Life 'out there' IS possible. If nothing else, the numbers prove it. Life is out there...somewhere...waiting for us. NASA now has ION drive partly because of the inspiration of Star Trek. Many things on the ISS were adopted from an idea presented by Star Trek.
Star Wars is/was good. A great story line. If you think about it though it is not much more then a variation on the 'boy gets girl' story line. Star Trek TOS was always new and different every week.
Star Trek TOS was great and getting better all the time!

The original IDEA behind the creation of STAR TREK was based on something similar to a "wagon train" traveling across the unknown old west. I like this FORMAT much better than STAR WARS. Star Wars is far too VIOLENT. James Tiberious Kirk is a "great lover". I like LOVE stories better. I do not like religious mysticism like "The Force".

star wars because its more of a fun setting there is more mysticims and more aliens even tho star trek is a good series i still like star wars better

I'm reading and people say ST has better storyline than SW? What the f...? ST is more realistic? Isn't both stories supossed to be sci-fi? STAR WARS kicks star trek's ***!
