My husband and I separated back in January of this year. I met someone and we had the best relationship. He treated me extremely well, something that my husband never did. We laughed a lot, we had a lot in common, and I couldn't wait to see him. My b-friend never lied to me. It was great. Well, my husband moved back to my area and my mom started giving me all kinds of hell because she was adamant that I had to get back with my husband for the twins we have together. After a couple months, I finally did it. My twins and I live with my mother and she was going to kick us out with nothing. I ended up ditching the boyfriend and I was dealing with the break up and trying to work on my marriage. Well last night, my husband and I were at the store and guess who I ran into....my ex boyfriend. I thought I was over him, but immediately I lost my breath, my face turned white, and I started having butterflies in my stomach that are just now going away almost 24 hours later.

I think the feeling you had is perfectly normal and doesn't necessary mean that you aren't over him. Sometimes it's just a reaction, an embarrassment, a memory that causes us to behave that way. After I had been married for 9 years, an old boyfriend called me. I felt the same way for about 2 or 3 days then it went away. Years later when my husband and I divorced I met up with the old flame and believe me, the fire was out! How is your husband treating you now? If it isn't better, I wouldn't stick around "for the kid's sake". It isn't worth it to anyone in the end. Good luck.

First of all you and your husband broke up in january you had a good relationship with this new person, your husband was never there emotionally for you is this what your saying, your mother wanted you to go back to your husband and gave you all sort of problems right, you moved back with your husband because of the kids right, your mother was gonna kick you out your mother is a piece of work, you ran into your exboyfriend and still have feelings for him, Do you love your husband still or are you just there because you and your kids have no where else to go. My heart goes out to you your stuck in marriage not in love with your husband and have no where to go. Belive me your husband knows the feelings are not there.

You are definitely not over him and you dumped him, not because you wanted to, but because of pressure from your mother. You werent over him the minute you dumped him. You went back to your husband for all the wrong reasons and that is not fair to him. Its also not fair to you. Your mother should have no say in your marriage....she is there for support, not to control. Maybe what you need to do is start saving up some money and get into a place of your own. This is your life, not your mother's. You need to become a little bit more independent.

You were still married and started messing with another man...That's why you got the feelings that you did...it's called guilt. You cheated on your marriage while you were separated. Separation is not a disillusionment of marriage. Obviously you're not over the man you cheated on your marriage with...

You're in love with someone else. What are you doing with your ex husband? You aren't doing him, yourself, or your kids any favors by staying in a loveless relationship. Do what makes you happy. What works for you. That's whats best for you and your children.
