Denver will be facing Oakland at home.. the Raiders will probably have a new QB (culpepper or russell) playing..

Green Bay will be at the Giants.. but Eli Manning is out.. Brandon Jacobs is out.. Jared Lorenzen, some 260 pound quarterback, will fill in for Eli..

what say you?

I say go with the better DEF. The Oakland offense is miserable no matter who you throw in at QB. Also the likely hood of Russell starting a game anytime with in the next 5 weeks is completely absurd. He didnt play at all in the preseason and barely spent anytime with the team. Likely is that Culpepper will start.

Anyway, the Giants team is beat up yes, but I still like Denver DEF. They are ranked as the best passing secondary in the league with Lynch, Bailey and Bly. With those corners up against Curry and Porter, the Oakland DEF is going nowhere. Also with Denver and Oakland being rivals expect the Denver D to really take it up a notch. The running attack of the Raiders won't do much else either. DJ Williams and Simeon Rice will shut that down themselves.

The raiders offense sucks, and that is what matters. They don't have one good playmaker. If you think Curry and Jordan will have those types of games again this week think again. The Lions DEF sucked badly and that is why the Raiders could score so many points.

Start the Denver DEF.

Good luck!!

AFC West teams usually step it up against their division rivals. And, Denver is always very strong at home. They can stop the run and have one of the best secondaries in the league. Even if Culpepper plays, he'll be rusty and he's just learning the offense. He'll make mistakes and Denver will capitalize.

Green Bay might have been a fluke last week. I know it's only Jared Fogel ... I mean Lorenzen ... at QB for the Giants. But, Derrick Ward looked really good last week filling in for Jacobs. And, Green Bay will be on the road.

Advantage Denver.

Eli may actually start, but the Giants are still pretty banged up, plus the packers are the most underrated D in the league go with them
