does Bastian actually call out his mothers name at the end?? and if he does, WHAT THE HECK IS IT!!!?? ...this has annoyed me since i was little, someone put me out of my misery.

The best movie ever is different in everybody's opinion. I love Neverending Story because I grew up watching it. And yes, he did yell his mother's name.
