Only when it comes to my job, if I feel i'm worth more or being mistreated, I will let them know. Same thing is true when I need money for the department budget or new equipment, I typically have to build a case to get it, but I usually win...Sometimes you have to be strong and have an ego or people will walk all over you if they want your job or they are jealous. But outside of work I try to be be humble and compassionate
