I've only got one thing to say to the Blair knockers. Margaret Thatcher. John Major could be incorporated into that, but he was just incompetent. Does anyone in their right mind believe that any Prime Minister of the 20th century would not have gone into Iraq? If so which one? Wilson? Callaghan? MacMillan? Douglas-Hume? Churchill? Heath? These are the Prime Ministers of my lifetime. The misery caused by Thatcher still lingers in this country.

Mustardcharlie has got it dead wrong. Mrs Thatcher was the best post war premier Britain has had. Her best legacy was to cut the militant unions down to their proper side. How many strikes do Britain get now compared to her previous years. Come back Mrs Thatcher the country needs you again to do the same with the current crime wave.

Iraq, clearly.
after that i think history will say peace in Northern Ireland and devolution. the independence of the Bank of England is also significant. unfortunately, these latter things happened in the first 2 years. the following 8 were wasted (at best) and criminal at worst.

Destroying iraq and destabilising the world so that average joes like us cant go on holiday and think that we are gonna be treated nicely. Our name 'Great Britain, English etc' has been tarnished. Thanks for that Tony - no one else could have done a better job
