If you were charged with 3 drug felonies, and you worked for me, there is a better than average chance that you would be suspended permanently.

It really depends on the policy of your employer but yes you can be suspended or even fired for being charged with a drug felony.

Yes, they have no obligation to keep you on pending any situation legal or otherwise. They (your employer) are free to dismiss you at anytime and without a reason....UNLESS.... you are under some written agreement or contract. (probably not...huh?). The thing you should do is tell your supervisor or the owner of the company that you are in litigation over this stuff and that you have retained legal counsel and are fighting the charges with everything at your disposal. Dont claim to be guilty or innocent...just tell them you are working hard to put the matter to rest. Give them a star studded assurance that this will in no way affect your job or performance at work. When you say I am completey innocent....It sounds like you are saying "I am guilty as crap". I wish you luck....your going to need it.

Get the ultimate criminal professional you may have the money for and ask him. this is no longer the variety of question for Yahoo solutions - you elect a professional who can look into the comprehensive case intimately. as quickly as your criminal professional has given you an answer, then come back at right here and as 'my son have been given charged with 3 felonies and the criminal professional recommends, is this a solid thought' and grant extra information on why he pronounced that.

Normally every company has in their policy the action they take if you're facing criminal charges, if it's in there then yes.

If you deal with any type of government work, you're toast.
