It's not like they are interesting stories either. I don't mind the first couple times, but my dad does this ALL the time. Too many times to count.

Yeah it kinda sucks, but it means they want to talk to you but can't think of anything interesting to say. I act interested until the 2nd or 3rd time, them I (gently) say "yes I know Grandpa/Grandma you told me that already." If they're young it makes them a little angry, but lets them know you're tiring of the same stories.

yes it is aggravating but the ladies r over 70 and u just have to grin and bear it and say yes I do remember that too.

yea........'the view' barbara walters does that. maybe 'rosie gaydonell' is right .she is getting too old to carry on. she is 77.she should do like her best friend beverly sills and retire.
