I have to assume that you have some experience in tinting or car audio or you wouldn't be focused on these areas. .correct?
In gaining that experience you see an opportunity in your local market. This is step one.
I would visit every tint shop and car audio place in your town to see what their shops look like and their target markets , if any. Brands they carry , etc. Have a friendly chat . .most of these folks will explain the various pitfalls of their current situation.
Sure you need a shop, insurance, credit, an ad strategy, employees, inventory and a decision on which brands you will promote. You'll need a tinter and a good one at that since the service aspect of this business is paramount.
The two products are related but will attract different consumers. You'd obviously need someone who can install the audio and speakers.
BUT
You need a passion and a vision for your company. It's not a class experiment it's the real world.
You may be young so getting a bank line or signing personal guaranty may not be available for you. Perhaps a family loan or a partnership with your expert friends who might share the start up costs.
Check the internet for window film dealers.
Get some concept on profitability of various films, time and labor plus what type of income you need to take care of your existing obligations.
In my experience drive and dedication is what can overcome all the wannabes and nay sayers. If your heart tells you to go for it. .than do it!
If you need assistance with the window tinting side, check my website and give me a call. We are fairly experienced in window films having been National Sales Manager of 3M Window Films and currently a FormulaOne Car Film Dealer in Tampa Bay. We have a fairly good handle on national tinting demographics as well as the current film technologies out there. Best of luck!

I think you might do good if you open up a store that sells car audio and a tint "window service". Anyone can sell anything to anyone as long as you do it right.
Please check out the links below. These are organizations that are non-profit or are suggested highly to people who want to start a business. Your very first step in starting a business can be writing a business plan. Check out the samples business plans and try to write your own. It doesn't have to be fancy, but you have to start one.
Good Luck
Business Student.

Go to http://www.score.org/index.html and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information in the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor.
SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.

Successful businesses fill a need.
Figure your start up costs, costs of goods sold, initial capital requirements.
Create a forcast of units per day, week, month, and project your sales. (You'll need this if you plan to go to a financer, bank...) The forcast should include your overhead, utilities, rent, employees.
You can do it, the more you research, the more there is to research.
good luck
Oh, the SBA is a great source of information.
You also need to consider what permits, licenses, whether you'l be Sole Proprietorship, LLC....city taxes....
