Shmoo. Yes I dream about other things as well, if you read my first article you would know that!

DMD: People like me you say. Well people like me are on the fence of 50/50. I have actually lost two children, so I do know how it feels to lose children, two not one at that, but I didn’t collect a million along the way!
Robert C: Yes I am 100% up front, and I am not claiming to be anything at all!
Sadie: Sorry, I also feel for Madeleine just like everyone else with a heart does! I did not feel that Maddy being named in this question was relevant to the actual question. I apologize if my not putting Maddy’s name in offends anyone.

The Y!Abut: I really would like for you to be right personally. Please don’t presume that I do not know what it is like to be interrogated by the Police because I do. I was proved innocent and have no criminal or otherwise record.
Ronald 575715: No I personally cannot imagine that. Having said that it was reported in one of the papers that Kate McCann was an atheist before this all happened.
katie30: I am not bitter or twisted, just wondering what the majority of people think the truth is going to turn out to be?

I am on the 50/50 myself on this one. Because A; none of us have all the actual facts. B: Because I had an adoptive mother who tried to kill me on numerous occasions. Your can read about this in my article ‘What Are the Odds of Kate or Gerry McCann Being Guilty?’ http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/382056/what_are_the_odds_of_kate_or_gerry.html

It's irrrelevant what anybody thinks, the important thing is to find out what actually happened to the child and bring whoever is responsible to justice. All this speculation can only be a hinderance to the investigation and serves as a distraction from the real task in hand.
To be honest I am growing weary of the media's fascination with these people. How many other children have gone missing in Europe since May, and why have we not heard about any of those? If the McCanns weren't as camera friendly (ie. not aesthetically pleasing) I doubt we would be seeing their pictures as often on the front of the newspaper.
Find the culprit, find the child but most of all find another story!

Well somethings are not easy to prove however, I dont believe they are guilty of murdering their own daughter.
However the question remains unanswered about the rental car. And ofcourse, in what state of mind were the parents if they have drugged their daughter?
I dont think they are guilty of murdering or disappearing. However I do believe some who knew where maddy was though that he/she/they should do what they did.
Its got to be someone they know, or someone who knew that the children are on their own.
More likely it was someone from the wedding guests, someone with a very very sick mind to do what they did.
Or sick as it may seem there is another theory which is :-
Mr & Mrs McCann went to their apartment to check on the children maddy must have been awake.
Mrs & Mrs Mccan must have taken maddy for a burglar and hit her on the head.
Sadly poor maddy could not survive the blow.
After finding what had happen they decided to dispose maddy.
HOWEVER THIS SEEMS TO BE A FAIRY TALE I DONT BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS THE CASE.
HOWEVER, THEY HAVE TO BE HONEST WITH THE AUTHORITIES FOR MADDYS SAKE.

I have no idea and cannot from where I sit make a decision on that. What we read and how it is written (the view of the writer) can blur what is the truth.
I will assume they are innocent until it is settled in court. Every parents second nightmare would be being accused of their death. It has happened that parents have done terrible things to their kids but that is the exception and not even close to the rule, the majority of parents are loving nurturing and protecting. But only the bad ever makes the big news sadly.
I pray they are among the majority as well.

There are thousands of kids abducted, sold into slavery, murdered , mostly by members of their own family, every year. What makes this one kid so much more special than a four year old starving to death in Africa or a child blown to bits by an American/terrorist missile? At best the McCanns were negligent, at worst thay are guilty of murder. I am a single father with an 11 year old daughter. I will watch over her like a hawk until she is 16 and then she will have to tell me to stop. I worked for many years in Africa and Asia, attempting to bring a bit of hope into the lives of children living in squalor.
They are guilty. They are guilty of neglecting their children at the very least. If Maddy had got up and set the room the room on fire, they would be in jail by now. They should be prosecuted for neglect and are no less responsible than the woman who recently allowed her grand-daughter to be ripped to bits by the family Pit Bull. They are without question guilty. It is more a question of what they are guilty of.

Not. As a first instinct, but haven't followed the facts "reported" every day. Its obvious the Portuguese Police have made mistakes in this case, due to a lack of experience of kidnapping, child abduction is rare in their culture/country(so the papers said early on). in our country, relatives are looked at first, as most murders are committed by people the deceased knew. not only a logical idea but a statistical one i think? eliminate those who are closest to, most able and have more possible reason to kill the victim first the investigation can move on to abduction/murder from a third party. prosecution of the MacCanns now, 4 months on, can only lead to a "reasonable doubt" conclusion. if they killed, accidentally killed or covered up a mistake that led to Madeleine's death, then all seven people with them are involved, as they all claim regular checks were made on the children. why is there so much conflicting evidence? Portuguese law is so different to ours! glad I'm not the judge of this dilemma. (hasn't the judge, residing, been in court him self lately?

i believe they are victims. if i am wrong and they turn out to be guilty then so be it. i have said it before, you live and learn and I'll hold my hands up and say i am wrong, but with the way things stand at present, with nothing concrete against them and no real facts, then yes i believe they are innocent.
i always give the benefit of the doubt because I'm a decent non-judgemental person and that's a nice way to be.
how awful to be bitter and twisted against something and someone you know nothing about!
EDIT listen that last comment wasn't directed at you. it wasn't really. sorry if you took offence, i was talking generally based on my own observations from folk here x

unfortunately, what usually happens in cases of murder, abduction and other terrible crimes, is that more than likely, the victim knew their attacker(s)... i know this is a horrid thought and i expect people to think i'm awful... but, each to their own opinion in my book....
right from day one something didn't look right about the disappearance, not the behavior of the parents... and unfortunately i have suspected foul play from either of them or someone else that they were holidaying with.
the idea that both parents have been busy courting the media and flying all over europe... when their daughter went missing in portugal has also surprised me.. i would have not left the resort until all hope had been extinguished...
and.. .i would never have left 1 child... let alone 3 children alone in a room without some sort of electronic baby monitoring device.... and in a foreign country too...
no... something is not right...

No I don't think they are guilty of murder, but they are guilty of not protecting their children. if they were working class this fuss would never have been made.
Who remembers Ben Needham going missing in Greece? Street children are being killed in Brazil daily who puts that on the news and as for the MP giving up his job to represent the family!!! Why and is he doing it for free?? I doubt it
