Clinton did excellent things for our national debt and economy.

President George W. Bush took that all away by shoving our innocent men and women to die, in a country that doesn't want us there, to get rid of "terrorists" when Sept. 11th attacks were commited by Saudi Arabians, not Iraqi's.

Can you say... alternative motive???

An exerpt from "America: The Book" by Jon Stewart:

Warren G. Harding: Our Worst President - by Stephen Colbert

Warren G. Harding (November 2, 1865 - August 2, 1923) was a worthless piece of ****. **** him. His presidency was a taint, not just in the sense of a "stain on the office," but literally a taint - the anatomical area between the anus and the testicles. I hate Warren G. Harding.

It's already official....

[ George W. Bush's presidency appears headed for colossal historical disgrace. Barring a cataclysmic event on the order of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, after which the public might rally around the White House once again, there seems to be little the administration can do to avoid being ranked on the lowest tier of U.S. presidents. And that may be the best-case scenario. Many historians are now wondering whether Bush, in fact, will be remembered as the very worst president in all of American history. ]

Many historians consider it James Buchanan. His inaction left the nation so divided, that his successor Abraham Lincoln was saddled with the Civil War. Others say it was Richard Nixon, who resigned in disgrace amid corruption and scandal. Herbert Hoover's policies brought on the Great Depression. Time will tell if George W. Bush can match these three colossal failures.

U.S. Grant most likely; did very little except to have his friends put into high places and use the office for personal gain. Jimmy Carter would be second-a great former President but he was unable to make a decision about anything; indecision is a decision and is the worst decision to make in most things.
I wouldn't base it on polls; they are are very funny things-John F. Kennedy was in the low 30's right before he was assassinated; his high approval ratings which are talked about came at two points in his tenure-right after the Cuban Missile Crisis and after his assassinated. He went to Texas and the South to try to bolster his re-election chances which at the time were not very good.

There are some bad ones in the distant past.. but you'll be hard pressed to find anybody who was a complete failure in every aspect of the presidency like Carter was.

When Reagan was in office the moral majority of democrats claimed he was the worse President in history.
Then they changed their minds.

Now they think George W. Bush is the worst President in history.
They'll change their minds.

I'll bet 17 donuts that James Buchanan shows up as the worst in just about any formal poll which isn't politically motivated.
Then Warren Harding, Andrew Jackson, Franklin Pierce... Those four are a lock as rock bottom.
