I haven't seen the Who, but I have seen Queen w/ Freddie Mercury and they were awesome.
I also loved in concert: Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Linda Rondstadt, Chicago, Hootie & the Blowfish, Gregg Allman, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Heart, Fleetwood Mac & Alice Cooper

quit possibly. the who didn't make the best studio albums but they could blow any band off the stage from '65 until '79. they were loud, powerful and they destroyed.
i never understood how pete and john could sound so great on record, but live, they sounded so much better. live at leeds is the greatest official live release anyone has ever put out. purely amazing.

I would have to say yes they are crazy live and have the greatest live album (live at leeds) ever right behind them I would say is Led Zeppelin

Well, they really rocked Woodstock, 1969!! Wish I'd been there to testify fur shure.
Saw Led Zep in Louisville, KY, 1977 - they BLEWWW me away. (Of course, when you're only 16, you're EASILY blown away...)
Have you seen The Who's Rolling Stone Rock & Roll Circus performance of "A Quick One"?
