I'm wondering if anyone is actually like me and really wants to know all the details of something. People get annoyed by this but I get equally, if not more, annoyed at their inability to elaborate more. If someone tells me about something I enjoy hearing everything that went on. I WILL ask why because I'm interested. People complain about ppl never being interested but someone is it's like back off. I don't think I'm too over the top, only with family! I'm generally interested in things and this can sometimes appear to be nosy, which I wouldn't say I am. I wouldn't look into things when I feel I shouldn't. I will be okay without them but I just prefer to know everything. Why not?

So, do you like to know all the details?

YES i LOVE details!
I have to know everything about anything going on or that has happened. If someone asks me to go somewhere i need to know like what time and in what order are we going places if we are going to more than one place. I feel like i bother people by asking them questions about it over and over till i get all the facts. i just like to be prepared for things. And if someone asks me to do something i need them to tell me every little detail about how they want it done. If they dont i will ask them. I feel like if they dont tell me and i do it wrong then they will be disapointed in what i did and i hate when people arent happy. I just feel like if you tell me exactly how you want something done i can do it as close to perfect as possible. If someone is telling a story and doesnt say all the details i will ask them about what happened cause if i dont i will wonder about it and prefer to know. I feel like this bothers people some time and idk why i am so inquisitive about details but i guess thats just how i am.

I seem to not be able to function without details.

There are times when a task requires more than one thing to be completed. Unless I am told each of these tasks individually, I will only complete the one I was told to do. It annoys people, though, cos for them it's common sense. For me, I'm just logically following specific instructions.

As for your situation, I will often 'need' to know EVERYTHING, even things like the exact time in minutes, like police officers do with their notebooks.

I have no idea why I'm like this, but I'd rather not be. It makes me appear stupid. lol

How surprised some people get when I am able to get my head around stuff like astrophysics, when I can't even work out how to tidy up 'properly'.

What you really need to do is to ask yourself .'Do I need this information or these details right now'?The basic premise should be "need to know".What is the use of so many details when we aren't going to be involved in executing or working on it?why should we stuff our mind with details we don't need immediately?Slowly but surely you shall become a person who would ask only pertinent and relevant details. Good luck.
