Oh yes, typical tactic of the feeble-minded or very young,to change the issue and shift the blame when there is no valid argument against what you are saying. Happens all the time. For instance if you criticise the policies of the State of Israel you will immediately go under an avalanche of insults of which ¨antisemitic racist¨ is the most pleasant.
If you criticise your own country or its leaders for not adhering to the Constitution or for engaging in illegal wars then you will be labelled ¨unAmerican¨ or ¨a hater of our country¨by fully half of the people on this Q&A site.
Laws were made to kept and adhered to. In our country there are proper channels to go through if a law is seen to be unconstitutional or inadequate. They are there to be obeyed by all, citizens nd immigrants. Law enforcement should go after the people hiring illegals. The illegals come in because they know there are jobs waiting for them. Many businesses want to have access to this extremely cheap labour pool. As long as they are illegal they will be cheap.

Probably people that haven't ever seen what happens with unchecked immigration. A lot of French people could tell you after the riots that allowing so many immigrants to come in without any hope for a good job, that can't speak the language, don't understand the new culture, and have to live in slum enclaves, only leads to a bad situation for both the country and the immigrants.

That doesn't even touch the issue of increased crime and poor security and the impact of both of those on society.

Or the issue of rewarding illegal immigrantion while legal immigrants are punished with waiting years to lawfully immigrate.

There are real issues with immigration - a lot of people just choose to believe that the 'right' thing to do is to allow it without worrying if allowing it or ignoring it really is the best thing for everyone involved.

My friend, you are most certainly not a racist. There is nothing racist about wanting people of all colors and nationalities- be they Mexican, Chinese, black, white, etc.- to obey our laws.

What you have to understand is that the people who support these types of criminals have absolutely nothing on their side in the way of facts. They HAVE to call you, and everyone else who opposes ILLEGAL immigration, a racist because that's all they have.

Speaking as one who has had the same claims leveled at him, let me encourage you. NEVER give up the fight. NEVER stop declaring that people need to obey our laws, no matter what their race or nationality. Keep contacting your representatives. Keep standing. You are a citizen of this nation, and you deserve to have your voice heard. If the illegal alien CRIMINALS and their supporters cannot handle that, that's their problem.

Because their only defense to permitting illegal immigration and devaluing your hard earned right to vote is to attack your character and suggesting that you're morally incorrect. Stand your ground and help us to defend our American culture. The DemocRATic party is leading the way in selling out the American people. I'm sure that you're all for lawful immigration, but sneaking across the border in the dead of night is not lawful immigration, is it??

No you are not a racist for expecting people to obey our laws regardless of their race or ethnicity. People that call you racist simply have no better argument to challenge your points with.

It's the "I don't like what you say so you're a racist" idiocy on their part. It's the Al Sharpton answer.

You are NOT racist and you have every right to ask these important question. Most Americans welcome immigrants as long as they come here legally. It makes me mad when I see people from other countries come here illegally and then turn around and accuse good Americans of being racist just because we speak up and say, "enough is enough!!", and demand our government do something to stop the flow.

there are people who post very racist questions on the immigration issue, and might think that because you're against it, that makes you racist

people should be aware of immigration laws, and they are being enforced to an extent, but they aren't just getting a free ride like you might believe.

You're no more racist than the FBI agents who busted Vick.
The Race Card is played SO QUICKLY in the US it's not even funny. "You won't let me break into your country and steal your hard earned tax money for my healthcare? You're a bloody racist!"

Do you know how strict Mexico, probably the worst offender as far as illegals here, is on immigration in THEIR country?

Racist? WTF does that would do with something? you assume everyone getting into the country to realize this legitimately, that makes you somebody who's sane with reguard for the regulation. Why could people who're waiting to get into this united states of america by using capacity of crossing the land border be granted amnesty whilst human beings from in simple terms approximately the different area of the international flow for the duration of the criminal capacity of adjusting right into a citizen? DOUBLE standards
