we made this amazing foam capsule with a plastic bag around the egg so it didn't make a mess, just use lots of foam and bubble wrap, trust me if it's big enough it can survive and imense fall, our fall was over 500 feet, and the egg did not break, even though the parachute broke and was utterly useless te entire fall! also put the capsule into some sort of hard outer shell which will absorb most of the shock..

Awesome... we did this project in highschool.

I took a Lays chip container (The ones that are like Pringels) and cut it open about 1/3 of the way down, filled the inside bottom with hair gel and covered it with tape so it was sealed.

Then I put foam in the top and sat the egg in between.

To close the contraption so it was sealed I "sewed" it with wire.

Mine was the only one in class that didnt break!
