Just click on advanced search, and you will be able to select one or multiple genres, and you can enter in other search terms if you want to.

Actually wikipedia has a pretty good list of anime by genre. Hit google and search "Genre" anime (Scifi anime, steampunk anime) and it should pop up with a decent list.
