I would have to disagree...that is abundantly American...we are free to do what we enjoy in life. I know a lot of people who would rather turn wrenches on an old car than watch a Baseball game...does that make them a bad person, no; it means that they are happy doing something different than me. I may not enjoy the same leisurly activities as them but it does not make them a bad American. That it what is great about this country, we are all free to do what we want. IF the person condemns the Country, THAT is Unamerican!!!

No, it's not un-American. Sports a big part of American culture, especially American male culture but by no means is it mandatory for a man to like sports for him to be considered American.

Not spending more than you earn; not watching innane TV shows that have absolutely no redeeming qualities; reading Playboy magazine because of the deep, insightful social commentary in the articles; and choosing your political leaders based on their progressive ideas to help all mankind instead of the best looking Christian white guy that blows the biggest wad of cash on TV ads trashing the other good looking Christian white guy that the republicrats are running in the election. These are all un-American!
Not being a sports fan is just a lifestyle choice.

Although rather unusual for an American male, it's not un-American. I love sports, my stepson could give a rats a** about sports.

My good friends, a married couple, are from Holland and Canada. They do not understand our obsession with baseball and most other sports. They probably think we are a little crazy but we have been friends for a long, long time.
To each his own.

Yeah that is kinda weak, i mean a guy who does not like sports to me is kinda un-cultured. Lacking in substance, that's just my opinion. I don't know the guy and I'm not trying to degrade,or be-little him, he could be a hella of a guy with insight on more sensitive topics. I mean all guys should have that competitive fire in them. Other wise he'll be hanging around u and your girlfriends all the time. That could be weird for u.

Completely untrue. America is the land of differences, there is no need for everyone to get into sports. That's conformist. Furthermore, sports are not patriotic, not like the flag. Sports are everywhere.

America conceptually is big, bold, and diverse. Lots of people find little interest in professional sports.
I love baseball, but the other, lesser sports do nothing for me.

Just because he lives in America doesn't mean he has to like sports. I know plenty of people who don't, it isn't unAmerican.
