Johnny, modern day imperialism takes many shapes and forms. For instance many Arab states are effectively USA colonies, u have a dictator put and kept there by the US, and you have USA military bases there. this is imperialism, especially as the people dont want u there

Just keep in mind, if the United States wanted to actually take over countries it could do so with little effort and not care about world reaction.

At one time u . s . grew to become into hit with the Imperialism malicious program. We obtained the Philippines, Hawaii, a number of Pacific Islands, and Puerto Rico as conquered territories, and bought the Virgin Islands, Alaska and territories from different Imperial powers. The age of Imperialism diminished after WWI and ended with WWII. Hawaii, Alaska, and bought contiguous continental lands ultimately grew to grow to be states. the Philippines grew to grow to be a separate united states of america. the the remainder of the territories are self-governing protectorates of the USA by way of fact, in simple terms positioned, we've no ethical authority to offload them.
