What college majors do i need to become a Therapist?

I want to become a Therapist but need to know what to major in because i need to know which school i want to go too. Im really trying to find good psychology colleges in california, so if you know any let me know thank you

Since you mention psychology, I'm assuming that by "therapist" you mean psychologist, not a respiratory or physical therapist. In that case, psychology is exactly what you should be majoring in. You can find psychology at just about any university, so go to the best overall university you can get into, and they will probably have it (with the exception of Cal Tech, of course). Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, Santa Clara, etc. All would have decent programs.

This depends entirely on where you live and what qualifications are required in order to be rated as a speech therapist. There are strong elements of special education in speech therapy, and there are also psychological components. There may well be physiological components as well. If you are interested and have chosen the university you plan to attend, check with them to make sure you choose the right courses. And you should also check with your local governing body for speech therapists to ensure that the degree or diploma you will end up with will entitle you to be registered as an authentic speech therapist. There are a lot of quacks out there (no pun intended) and you can call yourself anything you want. It's up to you to make sure you have the credentials that will earn the respect you deserve.

You will want to major in Psychology. If you want to be a psychiatrist you will need to continue on to medical school after you get your bachelors.
