The inhumane act of child abuse strips that child of everything. It should be that the poor child has more rights, but their rights are equal, not one outweighs the other. However, in terms of worth as a human being, the child abuser is plankton, and that child may, for several years, if not eternally, carry that secret and that abuser never pays for their crimes. That poor child will continue to be abused and/or carry that secret for fear of the ramifications of speaking up. That child has her/his rights stripped, and they feel as if they are the ones who have done wrong. That loathsome act is a dehumanising memory that never goes away. And, to top it off, we have seen many cases where the abuser gets off on a technicality, or the abuse is never reported so it continues, and/or that one celled animal never pays for his/her crime. There is injustice in the world, and that is disheartening. We have to protect our children!

At the time of the abuse, the child has no rights; they are taken away as their minds are manipulated by someone who has more power. But in reality, both have rights. The abuser has rights to be kept anonymous, and the abusee has rights to treatment, alongside the abuser. This is a complex debate. Some objective people say that that the abuser has rights to abuse others and others don't. Please read this paragraph I have copied from this link:

'The rich and powerful have learned how to manipulate their fellow human beings for a long time and have passed down their knowledge through the generations. The successful use of control power is taught to the children of the powerful by constant example and at prep schools and private universities. Books like The Prince by Machiavelli have been written for them, and they have lawyers, public relations experts, politicians, sociologists, psychologists, physicians, and other professionals at their disposal. Their control skills are being constantly upgraded.'

The Declaration of Human Rights is quite clear about the rights of the child. International Law is generally quite clear also. Unfortunately the Courts system in many countries tends to weigh rather heavily on the rights of the accused which often mitigates against child abuse victims.

Only when we, the Human Race, stand together as one against all forms of abuse, and recognise the special vulnerability of children, will we be in a position to fully implement the Declaration of Human Rights.

In theory, children's rights are the first and fundamental aspect of any civilized society. In practise, this isn't always the case.

In todays society a child abuser gets all the rights.

A lenient sentence, extra special treatment in prisons (if they do not get something they use the Pedo card, ie can't I have/do that cos im a child abuser) and secrecy from the general public supposedly for their own safety at the cost of disregarding every child in the vicinity of their safety.

This is a great question!
It seems to most that many of the Judges side up with the abusers and cut them deals that allow them to return to their evil ways. What is that about? WHERE is the Justice in the Courts of LAW that allow the youth to be continually abused by sex offenders that escape punishment. They should all be incarcerated and delt with by the inmates who feel they are the lowest scum of the earth, since the courts go out of their way to protect them.

I know that I am in the minority, but I feel that there are crimes commited that lead to a person losing certain rights, particularly when caught in the act, of child abuse (sexual in particular), I feel that the abuser(s) lose the right to a trial and other any appeals. they are to be incarcerated forever and lose the appropriate body parts.
