how four years ago everyone thought Howard Dean was a shoe-in for the next president? So don't jump to conclusions about the current race, yet. The primaries are still months away, and those will determine the election.

actually, I recall his downfall wasn't long after he was featured by both Time and Newsweek and the front runner. People were going crazy about him, and it all fell apart in two tiny state primaries.

I thought he was a twit then. You are right that the PRIMARIES are still months away. The general election is over a year away.

During the short span of time that Howard Dean was the front runner, I remember visiting the Arizona State University campus. There was a Howard Dean booth set up in a high traffic area right in front of the student union, and I was sitting at an outside table drinking a Coke while watching the stream of students part like the Red Sea and continue around the booth on their way to class. I don't think I ever saw one student stop to talk, pick up a bumper sticker or ANYTHING. They just ignored it.

And not only was Dean the front runner for the Dems at the time, but he was also ahead of Bush in the media "polls."

This is what I think will happen. Hilary and Obama will be at the top for the Dems and Ron Paul and Rudy Guiliani for the Republicans. The end race will be between Hilary and Ron. Then...Ron will steal the election. It will be close.

I remember the Democrats didn't go with Dean because they thought Kerry was more "electable." A lot of good that did them.
