For the Bb trumpet, F# below middle C is the low tone.

The high tones depend on skill and experience. If you're writing for a high shcool group, I wouldn't ask for the first g above the staff very often and expect it to be in tune.

For professional groups, the C above the staff is considered a standard range -- but it is tiring to stay in the upper range for an extended period. Also keep in mind that brass instruments in general can only execute a forte or greater dynamic level at the extreme high register-- don't ask for the high notes pianissimo -- no court in the land will convict a brass player for assault in that case.

Usual low note f# (below low c)
Usual high note double c (c above high c)

The range depends on the player, my highest note on a trumpet is the g above the double c.
