Well if you want to talk in terms of history Poland is better. They were very strong from 1974 -1986.
in 1974 they won every match in a group with Argentina and Italy.finished 3rd by beating brazil 1-0 in the 3rd/4th playoff
and in 1978 and 1982 they won their first round group. again finishing 3rd by beating france 3-2 in the 3rd/4th playoff
Greece's only involment in the world cup was the worst display by a european nation in 1994 losing all their matches.
Greece won Euro 2004 but like Denmark in 1992 many feel that is a one-off. they didn't qualify for the WC last year.
Poland did and they will win a group for Euro 2008 that has Portugal and Serbia in it. Greece on the other hand is in a group where none of the other nations were in last year's world cup
Poland has done better historically and is better currently than Greece
Boniek is better than anything to come out of Greece

Poland could probably beat Greece on a given day (it's not David and Goliath), but Greece won Euro 2006 which is a major feat, and I can't remember the last time Poland did any big besides qualify for the World Cup (which Greece hasn't done in a while)..still I'd take Greece.

UGH I HATE GREECE lollllllllll
Greece won the Euro Cup in 2004, but Poland could beat them like the above user said. I'd say Greece is historically better just for that win alone but ... Poland could beat them.

Depends on who is having the better day. I've seen a first place team get romped by a last place team.
