The prowar crowd says that if we leave Iraq, there will be a catastrophe in Iraq. We went to war against Iraq! We sure didn't go to war so that we could save the Iraqis from each other. We went over there to kick the dog mess out of them. That's what war is supposed to be. Frankly I'm tired of Iraq distracting everyone's attention while our own country is being stolen from under our feet by the globalist.
I'm an American and I think it's time that we start worrying about America and doing what is best for America.
It's time to get our military out of Iraq, secure our borders and prevent the oncoming catastrophe here at home.
"Tis our true purpose to steer clear of foreign entanglements."

Yeah I know. Being an American first is heartless. Unless you're another American.

jojo, I don't hate you darling. I don't hate. But I'm an American. Americans are my extended family.
We have an old custom in America. We argue politics amongst ourselves and don't tolerate foreigners interfering in our argument.
I don't mean any insult to you, but I will not discuss my country, my politics, America with you.

Once Hussein was kicked out, Iraq had no government. They had no organization to defend themselves, and Iran is lurking in the weeds, ready to invade and take over for their own purposes. And they are TRULY evil, not the the faux evil that meely mouthed America haters call the US. Once Iraq, and any other opportunistic country in the region does that, ethnic and sectarian cleansing will begin, and millions of Iraqis will be murdered, or forced to flee to refugee status, which is a horrible fate.
The US is trying to help the Iraqis set up a self sustaining government that can defend its people, but obviously there are serious problems with getting that established. In the meantime, if we leave, the "catastrophe" will begin, whereby the Iraqi people will be consumed from within - civil war - and from without, by an invasion from any Middle East country that wants to. Again, Iran is the number one threat to do that.
That kind of conflagration would spread, with countries being forced to choose sides and be drawn into a world war.
Disagree with Bush for invading Iraq all you want, but the US can't leave now without seeing to it that the country is stabilized, and can take care of itself, at least to some siginificant degree.
The Democrats and American Left are playing to the crowd with their protestations against the war: they are trying to make political hay, to rally American voters against George Bush and the Republcans, and set up a takeover of the WH in '08, as well as keeping control of the House and Senate.
If you care about the US and truly fear the globalists, you'll want to see Iraq be catastrohphe free.

I wish more people with passion would volunteer & campaign during election season. Channeled properly your input may help others. Think about it. No matter what your political choices are you can help educate others to the importance of education & research before Nov '08. Maybe drive some elderly folks around to the polling places.
Yes, I have done it, and yes, for nearly 15 yrs in Hawaii I was very active including a Campaign Manager for a candidate running for Congress in my State. I know it works. May not be what you want but now more than ever people need to get involved. If more people voted for Sanjaya than in the last election we are sadly in need of changes here. Thanks!
If you truly mean you want to keep the focus homeward please help US.

If a democracy is created in Iraq. It will be one more nail in the terrosist coffin. If we leave to soon, Iran will take over creating a larger problem for us in the future while they create the "Bomb" they are trying to get. If oil supplies are cut off from the Mid-East prices of goods and services will go up here as well. Everything that is made out of plastic comes from oil. Until we can get away from Oil use from other countries we have to fight for it to keep our economy strong. I too am an American and what we are doing there is good for us at home., I'm sure you have never served are you wouldn't be complaining.

Yes, I believe we need to get out of Iraq and protect our borders from terrorists.
We don't need to POLICE the world or push Democracy down the throats of those that do not want it. Why???
Yes, when we pull out many Iraq civilians will die. They will have a civil war and it may even be partly our fault. It was going to happen anyway but by us weakening their country it is ripe for strife. No one can get along in the Middle East.
We need to get our military home ready and strong to protect our country from direct attack (which can happen). We need to spend the billions here helping build a stronger more prosperous America. Instead our country is getting weaker by the month and day.
My son is a Captain in the Army and served in Iraq. He told me directly that they don't want us there, they don't like Americans and they want us out now. He said they are smart in that they get in line to join the Iraq Police and Military, take the huge bonuses provided by our tax dollars, train for a month and then leave, quit just to get back in line again with a new name and address. Are we stupid???
We just keep sinking billions into a country that hates us. We buy them massive military weapons and train their military so that they can come strike us here someday.
We need to get out, cut the lose, and move on. We need the billions here to repair a country that is falling apart at the seams.

because of the fact "a disaster in Iraq" isn't interior the suited pastimes of the U. S. or the West in maximum circumstances. We did no longer pass to conflict against Iraq, we went to conflict against Saddam Hussein. Now we are scuffling with to maintain the Iraqi human beings from being killed by ability of terrorists jointly as protecting the terrorists bottled up interior the middle East, and to help Iraq grow to be sturdy adequate to administration their very own affairs. what's "the globalist"? we are no longer an island remoted from the affairs of the international. like it or no longer, issues have replaced somewhat because of the fact Washington's day. catch up.

hey your question is great and the info you added is also great but i have to remind youof something YOU AREN'T LIVING IN THE WORLD BY YOUR SELVES. let me introduce my self, i'm an arabian, egyptian muslim girl and i really have to answer your question it isn't only about you wanting to get out of iraq it is also about us. ofcourse you don't care about us you hate us without knowing us. when it comes to me you kill us and take our resources in iraq and help israel do the same in palastine but still i don't hate you. you know why cause i know that you are not to be blamed for what your president does. you want to leave iraq and we also want you to leave us alone. you were the ones who started all this problem by helping israel take palastine over. wake up you aren't in the world by your selves why is it always about you americans and your points of view it was never about what we think and what we feel. let me tell you that we both want the same thing we want you to leave our lands and you as a loyal american want to take care of the inner problems of america. at least we agree on somethig. as you said you don't give a damn about us and we to don't need you to give a damn. but remember that i don't hate you as you hate me.....thanks =) hope our problems are solved

Its time to come home and police our own country or whats left of it from fires and floods and illegal immigrants. The government there can now sell off Iraq to business ventures to feed the refugees who are in Syria. I know we must have made some difference....

The mess in Iraq is the direct result of Mr. Bush playing God (which is probably ok since he has a direct line to talk to him). You are right. We need to start paying attention to the problems we have in the US. Apparently, Mr. Bush is blind to them. He's sure not working on any issues such as health care.

You, my friend, are a TRUE American! The 'prower crowd' THINKS they are, but according to George Washington himself, he's on OUR side! It's refreshing, to say the least, to know that I am not alone in my feelings. Thanks!
Peace.
