the reason i ask is in the spring i will be getting my ged well actualy the college im going to be attending has a program that i take a test if a pass i get well its better then a ged but not as good as a high school diploma, but anyways if i pass i will be attending the college for 2 yrs and i will earn about 689 acriedted semester hours

Good luck - and congrats for wanting to join. Stick with something that will allow you to transfer your knowledge to a civilian job - like an ET, or nuclear tech.

The army used to require a H.S. degree with GEDs no longer being proper. another branches settle for GEDs, the army being one, yet perhaps standards have replaced. I take it you mistyped your credit hours, because of the fact I have been given a B.A. degree with a hundred and twenty hours, the traditional required volume (15 credit in line with semester, 2 semesters in line with 3 hundred and sixty 5 days for 4 years).

I doubt you need any college to join the Navy.
