All answers will help but I have 2 years experience and am certified and licensed and in east Tn. Also, what is the pay frequency there (weekly, biweekly, monthly)?

Jade,

The pay frequency is biweekly and a tech tops out at around $18-20. However, this takes years before you actually get this amount. Depending on area, you will start out at least $10 an hour.

Now after a certain number of years with the company, you will have attained seniority or you will become a "SENIOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN" This means that you now qualify for an end-of-the-year bonus. The bonus is not much, you can expect anywhere from $100-1,000 depending on how your company is doing business-wise.

I hope this helps!

In the Chicago area, starting pay for certified techs is $11 per hour. You are paid biweekly.

I live in East TN and must say that you're better off leaving this area. Too many arrogant snobs and red light cameras.
